I don’t usually blog about other companies unless I feel strongly they need to be recognized and known. This is the case of Zemanta.
It was one of those weird days in late November. We had taken the Ljubljana city tour the day before and the rain had turned into hale quickly, so a small café kindly took us and warmed us up. Then the sky cleared and it was just a glorious crisp Autumn morning, when I headed to Zemanta’s headquarters.
If you have seen the pictures and the link to related articles in my blog it is because of this company. Nested in a funky building, I met with Gašper Koren and Dušan Omerčević, but this post is more than about a city or its weather, it is about people, and how technology brings us closer.
I have to admit that I love Slovenia, a gem of a country, where I hope to visit often, so of course I am biased.
Zemanta helps connect lose dots. They make blog entries more appealing, more relevant, and more related. I don’t blog as much as I used to, in part because traveling since July last year makes fills my days, and in part because I’m busy organizing my next project, a university. But I’ve been meaning to write about them and promote them because of two things:
- The technology is awesome!
- The team is awesome!
- They are proof that a born global business can come from any part of the world
